CAAAI has adopted two high schools in Georgetown Guyana: Nehemiah Comprehensive School and North Georgetown Secondary School. Over the years, our commitment to the schools has been consistently demonstrated in the form of annual donations of school supplies for students and faculty, sports equipment and technical support.
Reunions & Fundraisers
To date we have held three Reunions: In 2008 – Brooklyn, NY; 2010 – Brooklyn, NY and 2012 – Upper Marlboro, MD. Adjectives used by attendees to describe these biennial events were: MEMORABLE, EXCITING, TERRIFIC, CLASSY, and DELIGHTFUL. We are looking forward to our next Reunion which will be held in Brooklyn, New York on July 19, 2014. In order to assist in fulfilling our mission, an annual fundraiser is held.
Meetings
Meetings/conference calls are held on a Quarterly basis in February, May, August and November. During the year of a Reunion, meetings are held monthly and may convene either in NY or MD. Any CAAAI member is welcome to attend or call in to a Quarterly Meeting, as these forums are intended to invite ideas and collaborate towards end-goals.
Membership
Any alumna or alumnus is welcome to become a member of CAAAI regardless of the length of time spent at Cambridge Academy. Membership dues are US $50 annually; Supporter: US $100 annually and Patron/Sponsor: US $250+ annually. Interested persons should complete the Membership Application and return it to P.O Box 6010 Largo, MD 20792.
