CAAAI Alumni Reunion Celebration 2020

CEO’s MEMORANDUM

Dear Alums, friends, and supporters, the Executive Board of your CAAAI has already started committee work on the upcoming 2020 reunion ball. We are excited to provide another successful opportunity for all of you to see your classmates, friends, and teachers in a festive atmosphere of dancing, taking pictures, winning prizes, networking, and comradery like only Cambridge Academy alumni could.

Our success as an association over the years came from good leadership, honesty, transparency, hard work, dedicated members, and guidance from Almighty God. It is for the same reasons the Reunion Committee, CEO Dr. London, and President Devonish feel an obligation to explain to you why we have to raise the price of our 2020 reunion tickets from $100 to $120 each. Note that some other high school reunion committees may not be bothered about an explanation to its members, but they are not CAAAI.

As you know, our economy here requires increases in almost every aspect of our daily lives. The down payment and overall cost for renting and preparing the Antuns’ Banquet Hall in Queens, NY has increased; printing tickets, souvenir brochures, and the DJ, are some of our expenditures that are expected to rise also. Most importantly, the proceeds from ticket sales must go toward honoring the obligations to our Nehemiah partnership school in Georgetown, Guyana.

Fellow alumni, the CEO and the Reunion Committee have conveyed this explanation out of respect for you, and we are confident that you will continue to support and attend in large numbers at our next Alumni celebration ball on Saturday July 18, 2020. We will keep you informed and up to date about our progress, so mark your calendars as we are getting ready to start the “Clock is Ticking” countdown campaign very soon. Meanwhile, please take care of each other, be safe, and stay committed to our cause and Mr. Pinkerton’s legacy. May God bless you and your families abundantly.

Sincerely,

Dr. Aubrey F. Bentham, Director of Special Projects
