Fellow alumni members, friends, and supporters, as the year 2021 draws to a close and we are actively participating in the festive season of Christmas and other holidays in the month of December, on behalf of the CAAAI Executive Board, we extend a heartfelt Merry Christmas to the entire Cambridge family in Guyana, the United States, the Caribbean, and the rest of the world; may the season bring you peace, joy, unity, and comfort.

We suffer no illusion that 2021 was not without difficulty for our association’s members as we continue to battle the pandemic, lose jobs, and even lives of our loved ones. But we continue to place our hope and faith in a merciful God who has never left us and will continue to provide our needs and wishes for the coming year, 2022.

  • Happy Thanksgiving To All Happy Thanksgiving Image

Hello Cambridge Academy Alumni, Well-wishers, Friends and Supporters:

Warmest greetings for the holiday seasons that are fast approaching! I hope that you and each member of your family continue to be safe and remain in good health as we wage the war against the pandemic. As we all participate in family traditions, may the spirit of Thanksgiving influence your indulgence in small acts of kindness to persons who are less fortunate. Also, as we embark through the sharing of lights during Hanukkah, the Jewish Festival of Lights, may each of us use this period as a dedication of service to others; in so doing, to let our light shine on His Greatness and in return be a blessing to others.

  • Wishing You a Merry Christmas & a Prosperous New Year! Dr. Desiree Deflorimonte

Dear Cambridge Academy Alumni, Friends & Supporters:

We are about to celebrate Christmas of 2014 after a very successful year for our association. I don’t have to list all of our accomplishments, but among them are our Federal tax-exempt status; ‘Fun-bridge’ pre and post reunion events; the 2014 Reunion celebration attended by approximately 250 alums and their guests; the acquisition of Guyana’s high National award for Robert A. Pinkerton; and our Election of Board Members. Make no mistake, these were Herculean tasks that could only be accomplished by your prayers, dedication, commitment, and the support you gave to the association all year round.

  • Happy Thanksgivings To The Cambridge Family Dr. Aubrey Bentham

Dr. Aubrey F. Bentham, President CAAAI

    Dear Fellow Cambridge Alumni,

Once again it is Thanksgiving, a time for reflecting on the many things or events that we are grateful for. Whether our lives are represented by abundance or its basic necessities, we can all be thankful for having those things that sustain us each and every day such as our families, friends, food, shelter, clothing, and hopefulness.

One year ago, our Cambridge family lost its patriarch Principal Robert A. Pinkerton, who taught us that among these sustainables should be a good education, and directly from this fundamental alone we became productive people in a broad spectrum of jobs, careers, and professions in Guyana, the U.S., and around the world; therefore, this Thanksgiving we pause to remember ‘Pinky’ and add him to our list of people for whom we are thankful.

  • A Hearty CAAAI Thanks To You

Dear Cambridge Alumni, Friends, Supporters, and Well Wishers,

On behalf of the Chief Executive Officer, the Executive Board, and the Reunion Committee, I extend to you the association's heart-felt gratitude and congratulations for collectively making our 4th biennial reunion a magnanimous success. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.

July 19, 2014 has come and gone. The Cambridge family celebrated its reunion in fine style; a weekend that started with Friday night's 'meet and greet' party that provided an atmosphere for the initial contact of alums who have not seen or communicated with each other since our last reunion, and in some cases in many years. This pre-reunion Cambridge party is now known as the 'Funbridge party'.

  • New Year Greetings to the Cambridge Family Dr. Aubrey Bentham

Dear Cambridge Alumni, Friends, Supporters, and Well-wishers,

As the new year 2014 dawns we are promised a new beginning in our individual journeys in life, a chance to start anew and make better use of our physical and spiritual opportunities. Let us all be reminded of the words of the Psalmist as he embraced newness - "O sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth." (Psalm 96:1) This year, our association (CAAAI) has many important responsibilities to perform on your behalf, and we could only accomplish success as we did in the past years by your prayers, support, commitment, involvement, and hard work.

  • A Reason to be Thankful This Thanksgiving Dr. Aubrey Bentham

Dr. Aubrey F. Bentham, President CAAAI

    Fellow Alumni,

As Thanksgiving day 2013 approaches, we have mixed emotions about having to say a final farewell to our beloved Cambridge Academy Principal Robert A. Pinkerton, and celebrating with family and friends this day traditionally set aside for thanking our God for all the blessings He has bestowed upon us. But to the contrary, these do not have to be mixed emotions at all.
