CAAAI President's Christmas Message 2022

Dr Aubrey F Bentham5Fellow alumni members, friends, and supporters, as the year 2022 draws to a close and we are actively participating in the festive season of Christmas and other holidays in the month of December, on behalf of the CEO, our Executive and Advisory Boards, we extend a heartfelt Merry Christmas to the entire Cambridge family in Guyana, the United States, England, the Caribbean, and the rest of the world; may the season bring you peace, joy, unity, and comfort.

As we bid farewell to 2022 we recall that it was a year with its share of inexactitudes, as things did not always go precisely as we wanted them to go, however, the one important attribute found in the Cambridge family, was our steadfast and unshaken belief in a merciful sovereign God who has never left us, and will continue to provide us with all of our needs and wishes now and for the coming new year, 2023.

We must also recap our CAAAI successes. During 2022, we added two new Sub-committees, the Education committee and the Pinkerton Awards committee, bringing our total number of Sub-committees to six. The Education committee formed a hedge of support around the New Nehemiah Comprehensive Institute, our renamed partnership school, by providing financial assistance, shared proven experiences in school advertising, benchmarking, inclusion, curriculum building, and other related matters and expertise with the school and its leadership. The Prayer Warriors committee excelled this year in increased participation at its online quarterly services, not to mention the dynamic messages and the ‘word’ persons received on every occasion. Thanks to all of our committee Chairpersons for a wonderful job in 2022. The Awards committee was recently formed, and will play an important role in our 2023 agenda. Stay tuned in.

The CEO and I, are excited about 2023 and the future of CAAAI. Plans are afoot regarding an Awards banquet next year, a bus ride or two, the formation of a Men’s Health committee, the publication of meeting minutes on our Website for better transparency, and of course, with God’s guidance, the return of our highly popular Cambridge Academy REUNION GALA in 2024.

Your enthusiasm and willingness to be involved in the plans and activities of your association continue to send a clear message to the Executive Board, that your support of the CAAAI’s mission is strong and unwavering. We in turn, pledge to continue to work for and with you to sustain the legacy of the late Robert A. Pinkerton, Founder-Principal of our High School, and to provide on going support to the New Nehemiah Comprehensive Institute. Thank you again for your steadfast support and friendship in 2022, and we wish you and your families all the very best for a happy, healthy, and safe 2023. As you celebrate the holidays with “GT-to-the-bone” festivities, remember to always keep CHRIST in Christmas and all year round.

God Bless and Keep You All.
