Dear Cambridge Alumni, Friends, Supporters, and Well Wishers,
On behalf of the Chief Executive Officer, the Executive Board, and the Reunion Committee, I extend to you the association's heart-felt gratitude and congratulations for collectively making our 4th biennial reunion a magnanimous success. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.
July 19, 2014 has come and gone. The Cambridge family celebrated its reunion in fine style; a weekend that started with Friday night's 'meet and greet' party that provided an atmosphere for the initial contact of alums who have not seen or communicated with each other since our last reunion, and in some cases in many years. This pre-reunion Cambridge party is now known as the 'Funbridge party'.
Saturday night, 235 proud Cambridgittes, their families, friends, and supporters packed the Glen Terrace reception hall in Brooklyn NY, to celebrate their unique academic heritage with formal attire, fine dining, and the best Caribbean party music. In the presence of former students from around the globe, the CAAAI honored this year's Cambridge high achievers with the Robert A. Pinkerton awards for Community Service and Academic Excellence, followed by an inspiring presentation of the Guyana National Award, the 'Golden Arrowhead' to the family of our late beloved Principal for his outstanding contributions in the field of Education in Guyana.
Then there was Sunday, when it was time to say goodbye. Cambridgittes gathered one last time at a popular Brooklyn West Indian restaurant to say farewell to each other, pray with each other, and partake of Guyanese cuisines which included staple 'non-fat diets' such as chow-mein, curry chicken and roti, and cook-up-rice.
IT WAS LOTS OF FUN, and CAAAI thank you for being there to celebrate YOUR 2014 REUNION. Please go to the website, or reply to this email about your Reunion experience, and what you think we could do better next time. We will listen to you. The Association's Executive body will reset the 'clock', and continue working for YOU and towards our 2016 event. We look forward to seeing you all there again.
God bless you and keep you always.
