Barbara Atherly - A Narrative About Service

Mary McLeod Bethune wrote, "The service you give to humanity, is the rent you pay for the time you are given on this earth. There are people whose service to mankind, to our strong as well as fragile organizations, macro institutions and countries, have made their service an invaluable compendium of their lives. Guyanese born Barbara Atherly is unmistakenly among those people.

With a unique resume and extensive successful careers on national and international world stages, in sometimes near cataclysmic conditions in geo-politics, crisis nation-building, and attempting to foster coexistence among opposing cultures around the world, Barbara Atherly is the epic summation of Guyanese parents who prioritized religion and education in the home she grew up in, and her attendance at Cambridge Academy that helped form the foundation for higher scholarship, and created a 'bold' and elegant lady who was and still is unafraid to go where ever her services to people are needed.
