On Sunday May 25, 2025 the CAAAI assembled its first Men's Health Club Committee, to start a group focused on the importance of healthcare as it pertains to male members of our alumni.
This blue-ribbon committee consists of a cross section of individuals who are experts in their respective fields in and outside of the healthcare profession; they are Dr. Aubrey Bentham (Committee Chair), Mr. Denis Carrington (Co-Chair), Dr. Felix Mayers (Medical), Mr. John Trotman, Dr. Frank Douglas (Medical), Mr. Richard Williams, and Dr. Keith Hampden.
A Blue-Ribbon committee is a group of individuals, oftentimes leaders in a particular field appointed to study, investigate, advise and educate on a specific set of issues or concerns of importance to a group, community, or society.
The recently formed Cambridge Men's Health Club Committee, is laser-focused on addressing complex issues surrounding the health of Alumni Men in particular, however, on its first brainstorming meeting last Sunday, the August body opined that in spite of its masculine name and purpose, that all family members, friends, and supporters of the Association's Alums, regardless of gender can and will be invited to listen and participate in its upcoming men's health club Zoom sessions. The MHC Committee is planning to schedule its first public Zoom session sometime late August or early September 2025.
Each one-hour Zoom session will be led by a Subject Matter Expert (SME) who will facilitate discussions and answer questions on health topics such as Diabetes, High Blood Pressure, Cholesterol, Stress Avoidance, Cancers, Symptoms of Stroke, Hemoglobin, Creatinine, Osteoporosis, Eye Problems, Proper Nutrition, Exercise, and many more over a number of sessions. Flyers, Website, Facebook, and email notifications will be sent to everyone with the Zoom Link for each session. There is no charge for joining.
The new CAAAI-MHC Committee welcomes any suggestions you may have that will make this healthcare service to our Male Alums better. We also look forward to your attendance and participation at the Zoom sessions. 'The more we know about our health, the longer we can hold on to it'.
Sincerely,
Dr. Aubrey F. Bentham - President CAAAI
Men's Health Club - Chair Person
