In a few short hours we will begin the countdown rituals to bid farewell to 2025, and to usher in a new year, 2026. Whatever form of traditional public festivity, or contemplative silent meditation you select from the wide range of today's popular-culture models, please place your protection in the hands of Almighty God as you welcome the next 365 days of your life.
It is true, that as 2025 takes its place in the proverbial abyss of history, we can recall that it was a year with its share of unwelcomed vicissitudes for some or for many of us, as things did not always go precisely as we wanted them to go, however, the one important attribute found in the Cambridge family amidst our struggles and disappointments, was our steadfast and unshaken belief in a merciful sovereign God who has never left us, and will continue to provide us with all of our needs and wishes during 2026.
The Cambridge New Year is full of hope and positive anticipation. In 2025, and after a long herculean effort that combined the time and abilities of the CAAAI Education Committee, its Prayer Warriors Committee, with the leadership of our partnership school 'Gifted Hands' in Georgetown Guyana, in the search for a new, safe, and appropriate building for its disabled students; we were victorious in our prayers and our united efforts. Gifted Hands now have the space, aptitude, and the continued support of the CAAAI in 2026 to increase its student body and staff. Further, due to the success and mammoth attendance of our major fund-raising event for the school in 2025, our solvency for the 2026 budget is good.
Fellow alumni, friends, and supporters, the CEO Dr. DeFlorimonte, our Executive and Advisory Board members, and myself all contend that without you, the Membership Body and your participation, it is impossible for us to be the vibrant association we call the CAAAI. So as 2026 looms, we ask for your continued dedication at the executive and committee levels, or any way you can lend your talents and resourcefulness to the Pinkerton Legacy - "Giving Back To Guyana".
On behalf of the CEO, our Executive and Advisory Boards, we extend a heartfelt HAPPY NEW YEAR to the entire Cambridge family in Guyana, the United States, England, the Caribbean, and the rest of the world; may 2026 bring you peace, joy, good health, and prosperity.
God Bless and Keep Us All.
