CAAAI Senior Officers Visit Gifted Hands School

caaai senior officers visit gifted handsChief Executive Officer Dr. Desire DeFlorimonte and Advisory Board Member Barbara Atherly, paid a scheduled visit to our Association's Education Partnership School, Gifted Hands Learning Center For Special Needs (GHLCSN) in Campbellville, Georgetown, Guyana.  This event took place on Monday October 21, 2024.  The CEO and Ms. Atherly were greeted warmly and enthusiastically by the school's Principal and Founder, Ms. Marcia Smith and her students.

The visitors reported that Ms. Marcia was doing an outstanding job with the focus on 'what's best for the students'.  Ms. Marcia, we recall, was the Special Guest at the Cambridge Academy Reunion on July 27, 2024 in Queens Village NY.  She traveled all the way from Guyana for the event, where she was greeted by approximately 150 alumni, friends, and supporters who attended the Gala.

The CEO and Advisory Board Member Atherly's visit to Gifted Hands was a testimony to the good relationship between the CAAAI Membership body and the School. Further, it represented the Association's dedication and commitment to helping the students become independent and productive persons in spite of their disabilities and limitations.  CAAAI plans to donate school supplies and equipment to Gifted Hands before the end of calendar year 2024.
