CEO Expresses Sentiments of Thanks

CEO Dr. Desiree DeFlorimonte summoned an emergency meeting with Executive Board Members to seek and endorse approval to send another donation of $2,500.00 USD ($500,000.00 GD) to Nehemiah school, the association’s partnership school in Georgetown Guyana. The motion was approved unanimously.

On the morning of June 15, 2021 a small ceremony was held at Nehemiah attended by the Founder/Director Mrs. Osman and several students of the school. Former Counsel General and CAAAI Advisory Board Member Mrs. Barbara Atherly did the honor of presenting the check, along with words of encouragement and reassurance for the children who were on site (see photograph).

Expressing her sentiments, CEO DeFlorimonte in reporting the event in a written correspondence to the Executive Board and Mrs. Atherly, stated as follows, “Good Evening Colleagues, Please find attached photos I received from Advisory Board Member, Mrs. Barbara Atherly. A meeting was held at Nehemiah School this morning, where Barbara presented the check for G$500,000. to Mrs. Osman, and shared words of inspiration with the students. She stated that students and teachers expressed thanks to CAAAI for the generous donation. [Further], It is with heartfelt gratitude that I applaud Barbara’s dedication and her willingness to represent the association. Please join me in saying a big THANK YOU to Barbara.”
