Happy Mother's Day: What's Inside Every Mom's Diary

Mother’s Day seems orphaned and alone among the other important days on the calendar. A single day is set aside each year to celebrate our mothers, but we all know the remarkable and unmatched contributions mothers have made, and still make in our lives. Things have changed over time, and mothers are cast in different roles today such as single head-of-household, soccer mom, stay at home mom, and solitary bread winner mom, among others; whereas, throughout history, it was commonly accepted that mothers represented the de-facto formula (2IC) Second-In-Command in the household, to fathers who worked outside the home to provide an axiomatic cashflow.

Dr. Frank L. Douglas - New Book, New Ideas, New Approaches

Dr. Frank L. DouglasDr. Frank L. Douglas is well known and respected on the world’s stage. You will recall his gripping autobiography entitled ‘Defining Moments of a Free Man from a Black Steam’, where he chronicled a literary in-depth composition of his amazing life. We here at Cambridge Academy Alumni Association International (CAAAI), all know Dr. Douglas and hold him in the highest regard. He has been a recipient of our prestigious Robert A. Pinkerton Award, a keynote speaker at our major biennial alumni event, a philanthropist, a friend and mentor to many, and a dedicated member of the associations Advisory Board.

Guyanese American Dr. Frank Douglas honored by U.S

Frank L DouglasThe United States (U.S) Embassy in Georgetown has released a statement in recognition of the contribution of Guyanese, Dr. Frank Douglas, on the occasion of Black History Month.

The statement says that “Black History Month spotlight shines on Dr. Frank Douglas, a Guyanese-American medical doctor and researcher.

Dr. Douglas was born and raised in Guyana where he excelled in his schooling, scoring highest in the country in national testing. He earned a Fulbright scholarship to Lehigh University and finished his undergraduate degree in less than three years.
